Currently, Costco has several dry goods available for less than the Church Home Storage Center. Here's what I paid yesterday. (Please note that Costco sells 50 lb bags, while the HSC sells 25 lb bags.)
Home Storage Center (25 lb bags)
Flour $10.oo
Sugar $13.20
Rice $10.35
Costco (50 lb bags)
Flour $11.59
Sugar $21.99
Rice $14.15
If 50 lbs seems like a lot, remember that it will come out to around 10 cans of each of these items. And that it will go a long way toward building up your food storage!

Video on How to Use the Canner
Prices have changed again at the cannery, and most have gone down. Powdered milk in particular has dropped significantly. (I remember paying over $8 a can for some of mine!) It's a great time to stock up!
The new price list can be found here. Remember that our cannery only sells the bulk and supplies to can at home. The cannery has two canners to check out and our stake has a new one that I can schedule for you.
The video below is for all of you who are afraid of canning. It's not hard at all, especially if there are two of you working together. The only possible difference between her canner and the ones we have access to would be the lines on the push/pull handle. If ours don't have them, it takes a can or two to figure out the correct pressure. Does anyone know if ours have the lines or not?
Anyway, enjoy the video. And watch for an email from me with the cannery schedule and possibly a canning party!

Round Rock Home Storage Center
It's finally open! But only for bulk purchases. (Contact Mia to find out which of our sisters has a can sealer and which has a mylar bag sealer.)
The new Home Storage Center (Cannery) is located at 3912 Gattis School Rd in Round Rock. It's open Tuesdays from 2-8pm and Saturdays from 8am-1pm.
